लोकसाहित्याची चिकित्सा

लोकसाहित्य म्हणजे केवळ पारंपरिकता, अंधश्रद्धेचे भांडार किंवा अशिक्षितांचे ओबडधोबड बोल नव्हे. एखाद्या देशाची खरी सांस्कृतिक श्रीमंती ही केवळ पैसा, सोने-नाणे किंवा भौतिक संपत्तीत नसून त्या देशाच्या लोकपरंपरा, लोकसंस्कृती आणि लोकसाहित्याच्या समृद्ध वारशातून दिसून येते. जगातील अनेक देशांमध्ये लोकसाहित्याच्या स्वतंत्र आणि सखोल अभ्यासासाठी विद्यापीठे व संशोधन संस्था कार्यरत आहेत. मात्र आपल्या देशात आजही लोकसाहित्याच्या शैक्षणिक अभ्यासाला अपेक्षित स्थान मिळताना दिसत नाही. नियतकालिके, दैनिके तसेच शासकीय व निमशासकीय संस्थांकडूनही लोकसाहित्याचा पुरेसा प्रसार आणि संवर्धन होत नाही. आधुनिक तंत्रज्ञानाच्या वेगात आपल्या पूर्वजांनी जतन केलेले मौल्यवान लोकज्ञान आपण नकळत विसरत तर नाही ना, हा प्रश्न आज गंभीरपणे विचार करण्याची गरज आहे.

Dr. Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Minister for Revenue, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development, Government of Maharashtra, and Guardian Minister of Ahilyanagar and Akola districts, in the presence of respected Dr. Sushmita Vikhe Patil. The book highlights the importance of folk literature, folk traditions and cultural heritage, making it a valuable contribution to Marathi literature and literary studies.

Folk literature is not merely a collection of traditions, superstitions, or the rough expressions of the uneducated. The true cultural wealth of a country is not measured only in money, gold, or material possessions, but also through the richness of its folk traditions, folk culture, and literary heritage. In many countries around the world, dedicated universities and research institutions have been established for the independent and in-depth study of folklore. However, in our country, folk literature still does not receive the academic importance it deserves. Periodicals, newspapers, as well as government and semi-government institutions, also do not contribute enough to the promotion and preservation of folk literature. In the rapid growth of modern technology, we must seriously ask ourselves whether we are gradually forgetting the valuable traditional knowledge preserved by our ancestors.
