शब्दालय प्रकाशनच्या संस्थापक, प्रकाशिका आणि कवयित्री सौ. सुमती लांडे यांना साहित्य व प्रकाशन क्षेत्रातील उल्लेखनीय योगदानासाठी मार्च २०१७ मध्ये महाराष्ट्र कन्या गौरव पुरस्कार प्रदान करण्यात आला.
Shabdalaya Prakashan founder, publisher and poet Sumati Lande received the Maharashtra Kanya Gaurav Award in March 2017 for her contribution to Marathi literature and publishing.
शब्दालय प्रकाशनच्या संस्थापक, प्रसिद्ध प्रकाशिका आणि कवयित्री सौ. सुमती लांडे यांना मार्च २०१७ मध्ये महाराष्ट्र कन्या गौरव पुरस्काराने सन्मानित करण्यात आले. मराठी साहित्य, पुस्तक प्रकाशन आणि वाचनसंस्कृतीच्या प्रसारासाठी त्यांनी केलेल्या दीर्घकालीन कार्याची दखल घेऊन हा पुरस्कार देण्यात आला.
आयकॉन फाऊंडेशन, नाशिकतर्फे आयोजित पुरस्कार सोहळा ७ मार्च २०१७ रोजी मुंबईतील नरिमन पॉइंट येथील यशवंतराव चव्हाण सेंटरच्या रंगस्वर सभागृहात पार पडला. पुरस्काराचे स्वरूप ₹५,००० रोख, सन्मानचिन्ह आणि मानपत्र असे होते. महिलादिनाच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर विविध क्षेत्रांमध्ये उल्लेखनीय कार्य करणाऱ्या चौदा कर्तृत्ववान महिलांचा या सोहळ्यात गौरव करण्यात आला.
सुमती लांडे यांनी श्रीरामपूर येथून शब्दालयची सुरुवात करून मराठी पुस्तक प्रकाशन आणि वितरण क्षेत्रात महत्त्वपूर्ण योगदान दिले. लेखिका, कवयित्री, संपादक आणि प्रकाशिका म्हणून त्यांनी साहित्यनिर्मितीसोबतच नव्या लेखकांना व्यासपीठ देण्याचे आणि दर्जेदार मराठी पुस्तके राज्यभरातील वाचकांपर्यंत पोहोचविण्याचे कार्य केले.
महाराष्ट्र कन्या गौरव पुरस्कार हा त्यांच्या साहित्यिक आणि प्रकाशकीय प्रवासातील महत्त्वाचा सन्मान ठरला. हा पुरस्कार शब्दालयच्या साहित्यसेवेचा, महिला उद्योजकतेचा आणि मराठी वाचनसंस्कृतीसाठी केलेल्या सातत्यपूर्ण प्रयत्नांचा गौरव करणारा ठरला.
Sumati Lande, founder of Shabdalaya Prakashan and a noted Marathi publisher and poet, was honoured with the Maharashtra Kanya Gaurav Award in March 2017. The award recognised her sustained contribution to Marathi literature, book publishing and the development of reading culture.
Organised by Icon Foundation, Nashik, the award ceremony was held on 7 March 2017 at Rangaswar Hall, Yashwantrao Chavan Centre, Nariman Point, Mumbai. The honour included a cash prize of ₹5,000, a trophy and a certificate. Fourteen accomplished women from literature, publishing, social work, medicine, theatre, industry and other fields were recognised around International Women’s Day.
Through Shabdalaya, established in Shrirampur, Sumati Lande has contributed to Marathi publishing as an author, poet, editor and publisher. Her work has helped introduce new writers, promote meaningful Marathi books and connect literature with readers across cities and smaller communities in Maharashtra.
The Maharashtra Kanya Gaurav Award marked an important milestone in her literary and publishing journey. It also celebrated Shabdalaya’s commitment to Marathi books, women’s entrepreneurship and the wider promotion of Marathi language and reading culture.
