शब्दालय प्रकाशनच्या सुमती लांडे यांचा ‘सुवर्णमुद्रा दिवाळी अंक परंपरेची’ सन्मानाने गौरव Shabdalaya’s Sumati Lande Honoured for Preserving the Marathi Diwali Magazine Tradition

मराठी भाषा गौरव दिन आणि कविश्रेष्ठ कुसुमाग्रज जयंतीनिमित्त 27 फेब्रुवारी 2026 रोजी दादर-पश्चिम येथील धुरू हॉलमध्ये विशेष साहित्यिक आणि सांस्कृतिक सोहळा आयोजित करण्यात आला. या कार्यक्रमात शब्दालय प्रकाशन, श्रीरामपूरच्या सुमती लांडे यांना

‘सुवर्णमुद्रा दिवाळी अंक परंपरेची’ हा विशेष सन्मान प्रदान करण्यात आला.

मराठी वृत्तपत्र लेखक संघ, मुंबई आयोजित राज्यस्तरीय दिवाळी अंक स्पर्धेचे हे सुवर्णमहोत्सवी वर्ष होते. गेली 50 वर्षे सातत्याने सुरू असलेल्या या स्पर्धेने मराठी दिवाळी अंकांच्या साहित्यिक परंपरेला महत्त्वपूर्ण व्यासपीठ उपलब्ध करून दिले आहे.

मराठी दिवाळी अंकांच्या 117 वर्षांच्या परंपरेत सातत्य राखत दर्जेदार अंक प्रकाशित करणाऱ्या संपादक आणि प्रकाशकांचा विशेष गौरव या सोहळ्यात करण्यात आला.

शब्दालय प्रकाशनने ग्रामीण भागातून दर्जेदार मराठी साहित्य, वैचारिक लेखन आणि विविध साहित्यप्रकार वाचकांपर्यंत पोहोचवले आहेत. सुमती लांडे यांच्या नेतृत्वाखाली शब्दालयने मराठी दिवाळी अंक परंपरेचे सातत्य आणि साहित्यिक गुणवत्ता जपली. या कार्याची दखल घेत त्यांना ‘सुवर्णमुद्रा दिवाळी अंक परंपरेची’ सन्मानचिन्ह आणि प्रशस्तिपत्र प्रदान करण्यात आले.

दादर सार्वजनिक वाचनालय, काशिनाथ धुरू हॉल ट्रस्ट, मराठी वृत्तपत्र लेखक संघ, मुंबई आणि मराठी विचारधारा प्रतिष्ठान यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने हा कार्यक्रम पार पडला. भाषा, साहित्य, पत्रकारिता, ग्रंथालय चळवळ आणि विचारपरंपरा यांचा अर्थपूर्ण संगम या सोहळ्यात अनुभवायला मिळाला.

कार्यक्रमाला संजय घाडी, अशोक पाटील आणि सहायक पोलीस आयुक्त संजय धुमाळ प्रमुख पाहुणे म्हणून उपस्थित होते. अशोक कोठावळे, अरुण शेवते आणि नीलिमा कुलकर्णी हे विशेष निमंत्रित होते. रवींद्र मालुसरे, शुभा द. कामथे, विकास होशिंग, ॲड. देवदत्त लाड, संजीव गुप्ते, प्रशांत घाडीगावकर, रमेश सांगळे, आत्माराम गायकवाड आणि नितीन कदम यांच्या उपस्थितीत पुरस्कार सोहळा संपन्न झाला.

हा सन्मान सुमती लांडे यांच्या साहित्यिक कार्याबरोबरच शब्दालय प्रकाशनच्या मराठी भाषा, साहित्यनिर्मिती, दिवाळी अंक संस्कृती आणि वाचनपरंपरेतील योगदानाचेही मानांकन आहे.

A special literary and cultural programme marking Marathi Language Pride Day and the birth anniversary of poet Kusumagraj was held at Dhuru Hall, Dadar West, Mumbai, on 27 February 2026. During the programme, Sumati Lande of Shabdalaya Prakashan, Shrirampur, received the “Suvarnamudra Diwali Ank Paramparachi” honour.

The event marked the golden jubilee year of the state-level Diwali magazine competition organised by the Marathi Vrittapatra Lekhak Sangh, Mumbai. Conducted continuously for 50 years, the competition has provided an important platform for recognising quality writing, editing and publishing within Maharashtra’s 117-year-old Marathi Diwali magazine tradition.

Under Sumati Lande’s leadership, Shabdalaya Prakashan has published quality Marathi literature and introduced readers to diverse writers, subjects and literary forms. The honour recognised her role in preserving the continuity, editorial quality and cultural significance of Marathi Diwali publications.

The programme was jointly organised by the Dadar Sarvajanik Vachanalaya, Kashinath Dhuru Hall Trust, Marathi Vrittapatra Lekhak Sangh Mumbai and Marathi Vichardhara Pratishthan. It brought together Marathi language, literature, journalism, library culture and intellectual thought on a common platform.

Sanjay Ghadi, Ashok Patil and Assistant Commissioner of Police Sanjay Dhumal attended as chief guests. Editors Ashok Kothawale, Arun Shevate and Neelima Kulkarni were special invitees. Members and office-bearers of the organising institutions were also present.

The honour celebrates both Sumati Lande’s literary journey and Shabdalaya Prakashan’s continuing contribution to Marathi books, Diwali magazines, publishing and Maharashtra’s reading culture.
